Not their best work
We have all of the Duck Duck Moose apps, and they are all beautiful, colorful, and well-designed. This one is thin on content compared to Park Math or Fish School.
We bought it for phonics training, but that aspect is very limited. There are no games that practice letter-sound correspondence, just the repetitive act of visually matching letter shapes with lettered blanks to spell a word. The act of dragging letters into lettered blanks is the only activity in the entire game, aside from the cute playful animations.
The game needs to add an activity where, for example, the child hears "buh" and needs to choose a B. Until it offers activities that focus on letter-sound pairings, I think its unfair to say it teaches phonics. It simply incorporates some phonics on the side of its spelling game.
